My sweet grandmother, Mommy Pat, passed away a few weeks ago, so we made our way to Colorado for the memorial service. Though it was a very sad occasion, we did manage to have a delightful, impromptu family reunion. ALL of the grandchildren made it, which was so great. There were several family members Ryan had not met yet, so it was lots of attention for him. Lately, he had been really clingy, so I was afraid he wouldn't be himself with so many new faces around. Wrong! He adored the attention and seemed to think everyone should high five him when they or he came into the room. Over and over and over again :)
Ryan decided he was a fan of Nellie. Anytime Ryan caught a glimpse of Nellie, he was chasing after her. I'm not sure how much of a fan old Nellie was...
We spent lots of time catching up and eating on the patio at my aunt and uncle's home. That's Ryan asking for a high five from someone.
My Aunt Mary introduced Ryan to the piano. He was timid at first, delicately pressing the keys, but quickly began pounding, with a huge grin!
Ryan did enjoy all the attention and would crawl around, but he had a hard time letting anyone other than Robert or I hold him. Mom did sneak in a happy 30 seconds with him before he realized where he was and panicked.
Playing in the grass. You can tell by the fingers in the mouth, he was working on a few teeth. That was most of the car ride to Colorado... lets just say it was a loud 8 hours. But, he now has 4 on the top (pretty much all the way in) and 2 on the bottom.
Just because I thought it was cute. That's my sister (Natalie) and my Dad.
Seemed odd to take pictures before a funeral, but we are never all dressed up together, so we did anyway. Thanks Eleanor for the outfit Ryan is wearing - it fits perfectly!
Just look at my cute boys!!
