Our 4 Month Old (+ 1 week)

Ryan is 4 months old. Actually he's 17 weeks today! His "well-baby" checkup this week went great (well, minus the second round of vaccinations, Ryan was not a fan). He finally smiled and showed a bit of his personality to the doctor. Every appointment until now he's just stared at her no matter how hard she would try to get him to smile. (Kind of like his performance for the photographer when we attempted family photos last week...) Dr. Beggs said he was perfect and commented that his pensive looks meant he was going to be smart. She certainly knows how to make mother feel good! He weighed in at 15 pounds, 5 ounces putting him in the 50% for his age and 25" long.

He's starting to teeth, but so far its not affecting his mood, just the amount of drool coming out of his mouth. Seriously, its a faucet lately! He's a very happy baby most days and is letting us get some really good sleep, which we're thankful for.

Here's his 4 month photo. Usually one of us has to entertain him while the other snaps a million photos trying to catch a smile. Not this time - he was all smiles, making it really hard to narrow down which photo to share!
