Fall and Thanksgiving

Thursday, December 1, 2011

To say we have a very busy 15 month old lately would be an understatement.  Ryan is running full speed ahead, curious about everything, chattering like crazy, and loves to read books.

He's climbing up the playground all by himself and going down the slide!  It seems like just yesterday he was happy swinging slowly in the infant swing...

He loves listening to you read books.  Often its the same few books over and over, and he impatiently shoves a book at you and says "eed" or "mine!" if you don't start reading fast enough.  But he's learning so much from them.  He can moo like a cow, baa like a sheep, howl like a coyote, and hiss like a snake, among several other random words.

Ryan's buddy from school, Brecken, came over the other day to play.  This was our first official play date  and Ryan did exceptionally well sharing his toys.  He even showed him his favorite spot behind the couch.

Ryan also loves boxes!  After a Costco trip for diapers and wipes,  we spent an hour playing with the empty boxes - putting things in and out of them, 'he-manning' them around the room, and just pushing them around.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving with just our little family of three.  It was a perfect day and we spent most of it outside playing.  Boy did he nap well!

He will still shows his muscles to us every now and then, if we ask nicely.

Suddenly decided he knew how to kick a ball!  Its those little thing that make you smile.

Happy Thanksgiving!  We cooked a decent meal and enjoyed eating together which doesn't happen on a normal night.  Ryan ate like a champ!

The mashed potatoes were his favorite!
